Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
